Dotty Desperate for YOUR Dues
Here is another installment in the continuing series on providing the answers that the IAM and their supporters refuse to give to the Delta flight attendants. Today, we look at the question of potential appointed IAM officers, and one name that must certainly be on the Machinist’s short list is Dotty Malinsky. After all, Dotty has certainly put herself out there for the campaign: posting angry and judgmental diatribes across social media; rewriting NWA’s union history (and her own malfeasance); and shouting down the Voice of anyone with a different political perspective, using epithets such as calling them “scum”, “no-brainers” and claiming “you can’t fix stupid”.
Recently, the potential brass ring of union dues once again lining her pockets must have seemingly slipped ever so slightly further from her grasp and caused her to collapse in a spectacularly public social media meltdown. And what we’re finding out is that it’s OK for Dotty to cast her aspersions on her colleagues, but the moment someone defends herself against her attacks, snark and sarcasm, Dotty fake falls down and acts the all-too-eager victim.
Dotty had some great years as a Teamster officer and we can only assume (in the absolute dearth of information coming from the IAM), that she may be a shoe-in for an interim officer position. After all, almost no one on the current IAM campaign has any real previous union leadership experience.
According to LM-2s the Teamsters filed with the US Department of Labor, Dotty earned took six figure salaries for each year from 2000 to 2006 (she has “admitted” to salaries of $75,000 per year, plus flying a full time schedule as a flight attendant). No wonder she wants to relive her glory days of double-dipping salaries. And the extra treat for Dotty was for most of those years, while she was stuffing her pockets with dues paid by hard-working members of the Teamsters, she REFUSED TO PAY DUES TO HER OWN UNION WHILE IT WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF BANKRUPTCY NEGOTIATIONS DURING THE WORST ECONOMIC DOWNTURN IN THE HISTORY OF AVIATION. Even so much more delightful for Dotty was the fact that the NWA flight attendants no longer belonged to the Teamsters after June, 2003. But there she was, clutching on to her cushy position and living high off the union dues hog.
If you’re wondering why Dotty wants a union so badly, here are $772,160.00 black and white (reported in a legal government document) reasons. And don’t forget, this was during a time when Dotty’s co-workers were facing 40% cuts in pay and work rules. Imagine what her take could be in today’s economic times.

The hypocrisy in ALL of this is that, even with her hefty haul, Dotty refused to pay her union dues, but now she fully expects to force ALL the Delta flight attendants to start paying dues, to the tune of $14 million per year. It’s the quintessential double standard, Dotty style.
Dotty has held numerous union leadership positions and has attended countless union leadership seminars, and is the perfect role model of “unionist” behaviors. Dotty has a penchant for displaying the wisdom she’s gained and the insights she’s learned from decades of building “unity”, embracing “diversity” and “advocating” for flight attendants.
Who better to give the Delta flight attendants a clear insight into the tone and tenor of what their workplace will be like if Dotty and her IAM gang actually (shudder) win representation of the Delta flight attendants. I mean the Machinists activists hold her up as an icon and some have even called her a “super-hero”, so we can be certain that they will be looking to Dotty for what a “mature relationship” with the company looks like, when intervening with the company as a third party on our behalf.

(In response to the question: “If you could rid the world of one thing, what would it be?” Gee, thanks Dotty. I would love my own planet. There would be a country called Dotlandia where all the intolerant, divisive people could live and spew their venom on each other. Snark and sarcasm would be mandated by law and inclusivity and acceptance of independent thought would not be tolerated. It wouldn’t be a huge tourist attraction, but think how pleasant the rest of the planet would be. . . now what should I name my planet . . . )

Dotty Malinsky Oh yes--they are using the money to give those that fly first class for free more food in the Sky Clubs and you can bet your bottom dollar that it won't be popcorn, hot dogs, and make your own PB and J sandwiches! We already throw away millions of dollars with the snack baskets that are boarded on flights that have a full meal service. Don't want those poor deprived passengers to starve to death on a three hour flight. Many passengers grab items out of the baskets to take HOME to their families! Give them free food in the Sky Club, free food on the aircraft, free snack basket after the meal. Perhaps we could also supply a To Go bag as they deplane so they don't starve in the jetway! LOL! In the meantime, we have flight attendants struggling to pay for basic necessities because no one sees a need fairly compensate flight attendants for all their hard work.

Dotty Malinsky What many care about was the disparate treatment in the selection process of deciding who was worthy of being warm this winter. They also received MDR points. Very unfair and disheartening to be treated as being "unworthy" of benefits given to some and not others. That was the point. The blankie was just a symbol of the disrespect afforded to the majority.
(Translation: Do you see, people? The blanket wasn’t a thank you at all. It was the company’s way to decide who should be warm and who should freeze this winter. Don’t you see? “Hey--didn't Ann Y promise us a group charter? LOL I'm still waiting for that group dinner where the two committees were going to be "guests" of the company in order to "celebrate" our settlement! Am I the only one that remembers this? THe charters have been a lot of fun but there is a PMNW Purser who bids them all the time and she's horrible! Senior to me but has no clue how to actually work the charter and is always asking "how do we do this?" and gets mad when someone speaks us. The last time I flew with her--the Captain/First Officer both wanted to remove her from the trip and said they were going to talk to the Chief Pilot about her. Don't know if they did it but I could see their point. BTW--she's a former Hughes! Enough said...............”
