Recognition, Scope and Job Security ~ Section 1
Section 1 of our contract is only three and a half pages long, but it is one of the most important sections of our agreement. I urge you to read Section 1 today, as it contains our job security language in the event of a merger. Since Kevin Griffin has refused to post our contract on the MEC website or to provide you with a printed copy of the contract, you can find it in ATLAS (it’s unfortunate that AFA is forcing its members to turn to the company to view the contract that AFA is supposed to be enforcing).
In hotlines and in individual conversations with members, Griffin and other AFA leaders have portrayed themselves as confused about the actual protections contained in Section 1, so it is important that we arm ourselves with truth and the facts for our own security.
Delta management has read our Section 1 (Recognition, Scope and Job Security) language and here is their proper and affirmative response (PDF file found here).
Rank and File flight attendants are also delivering accurate and affirmative information simply link here.
Sincerely,
Jose Arturo Ibarra
