For over the last ten years I have been providing information on a volunteer basis and have survived everything from inflammatory emails to death threats. I have been called a liar by Hoffa, Billie Davenport, Molly Reiley, Lovey Offerle, Danny Campbell, Bruce Retrum, David Borer... and now these people are joined by Kevin Griffin.
Yet, many of you are thankful for getting more information, especially when the union has not been forthcoming and, at times, secretive with decisions that affect our futures and careers.
Thank you to all of you who provide me information, insights and direction. Most importantly, thank you to those of you who continue to carry the torch for a better democratic union that is truly from the people, for the people.
Currently we do not have such a union. Instead we have a union that continues to fail us, because they continue to not listen to us. It is they who continue to tell us half-truths or just outright ignore us.
My hope with my bulk email is to not only set an example of transparency, but to advocate for the union to do better for us, by us. (Kind of like what the union should be doing.) Instead, AFA (particularly Kevin Griffin and Danny Campbell) is attempting to blame me for their failings. They are also saying that you are the problem because you are not involved. How ridiculous.
We deserve better than lies and blame – especially when we are paying them money to do better.
